This renovation re-imagined the ground floor of a Sussex home for a husband and wife, creating a fresh, light-filled interior. A key client request was the use of blue, and through style guides we established a preference for classic interiors with nods to Victorian fabrics and traditional upholstery. The palette was balanced with the home's dual-aspect, south-west light to create a calm atmosphere. Cherished furniture, including the dining table and chairs, was integrated into the scheme.

The original open-plan kitchen, dining, living room and snug were reworked to better support entertaining and daily life. By combining the living and snug spaces and repositioning the dining area (with a built-in mini bar), the plan became more fluid. Subtle architectural details, including bulkheads, cornicing and panelled walls defined the zones.

A former spare room became a flexible study and guest space, with a reduced en-suite increasing storage. A warm green palette, tongue and groove panelling, bespoke joinery, uplighting and a mirrored sliding door created a refined, functional retreat.
